Client: Fedex Office
Project: signage program
►Project description
-
Axis Display Group and FedEx Office partnered together to reimagine the in-store promotion of their Dye Sub printing service. This printing process enables FedEx to serve a multitude of customer needs, giving small business owners and birthday party planners alike a new medium to share their messages boldly.
To drive customer awareness, generate excitement, and facilitate collaborative creation between employees and customers, FedEx Office needed a display that captured customer attention in a big way. AXIS worked with the FedEx team to create a multi-faceted, easily adaptable signage program catered to Zones of Shopper Engagement.
►Design
process
-
AXIS began this design project by identifying a service storyline that would help bring this lesser known printing service center stage with FedEx shoppers.
Surprise and Delight. Speaks to inspiration and choice.
Consult and Inform. Speaks to collaboration, education, and support.
Function and Adapt. Speaks to modularity, flexibility, and adaptability
From there, AXIS determined interior and exterior locations where these storylines could be adapted within widely varying store locations and footprints:
Road/curb: flutter flags
Window: backlit SEG sign
Runway: H-frame and other display iterations
Customer service/associate: design & ordering
Execution: printing and fulfillment of final product
Post-purchase: follow-up and repeat orders
Other Considerations:
All designs must work within / affix to existing FedEx Office retail fixtures.
Changeable graphics should educate and inspire customers, positioning FedEx as a strategic design resource
Display aesthetic must easily be changed to suit different store interiors
